Ruam Rudee Learning Centre, the RC International School's Early Years Department offers a well-rounded programme for the Foundation Stage which encompasses Nursery (ages 1.5 to 3 years old), Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2 (ages 3+ to 5). The activities include singing, drama, water play, circle time and arts.
The RCIS follows the British Curriculum modified to meet the needs of international students from Key Stage 1 to 3. For children aged 3 to 5 the school follows the guidelines set in the "Curriculum guidance for the foundation stage" by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority from the United Kingdom. The Foundation Stage of the curriculum consists of six areas:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication Language and Literacy
- Mathematical Development
- Knowledge and Understanding of the World
- Physical Development
- Creative Development
These distinct areas have a set of related early learning goals and are designed to meet the diverse needs of the children. They prepare pupils for the National Curriculum for pupils aged 5 to 14.
Three programmes are available in Nursery and Kindergarten:
Full-day (Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 2:30 pm)
Half-day (Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 12:00 pm)
3-day programme (Any 3 days, 8:30 am - 2:30 pm)
